The Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat is honoured to introduce His Excellency Ambassador Papa Mada NDOUR as the new Executive Secretary of the Secretariat.

Ambassador Ndour brings to this high office a strong diplomatic profile and a deep understanding of the strategic importance of Senegalo-Gambian relations. His appointment comes at a time when both Governments continue to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the Secretariat as a vital interstate institution for dialogue, policy harmonisation, functional cooperation, and regional integration.

In his capacity as Executive Secretary, Ambassador Ndour will guide the Secretariat’s work in supporting the implementation of decisions emanating from the Presidential Council and the Joint Consultative Commission. His leadership will be central to advancing cooperation in key areas including trade and transit, transport, border management, defence and security, infrastructure, culture, and sustainable development.

The Secretariat welcomes Ambassador Papa Mada Ndour and wishes him every success as he leads the institution in its mission to promote peace, cooperation, and shared prosperity between Senegal and The Gambia.
