His Excellency President Adama Barrow warmly received his Senegalese counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, during a working visit held on Saturday, 30 May 2026. The high-level meeting reflected the strong historical ties, friendship, and cooperation that continue to unite the Republic of The Gambia and the Republic of Senegal.
The visit provided an opportunity for both Heads of State to engage in constructive discussions on matters of mutual interest, including regional integration, bilateral cooperation, peace and security, economic development, and the strengthening of diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries.
